Job description
As a Global Medical Development Program Lead TIO, you contribute to medical strategy development in the field of oncology and interventional oncology. You coordinate global Scientific intelligence activities and oversee the IIS program.
Furthermore, you plan and budget the implementation of the medical development strategy and you act as the bridge between the TIO medical affairs team and the Clinical Operation teams. You report to the Global Senior Medical Director Therapeutic Interventional Oncology.
This position is within the Therapeutic Interventional Oncology Organization (TIO). This organization is comprised of Medical Strategy, Research & Development, Software Development, Medical Imaging Discovery, and Operations. It is entirely dedicated to the development of Therapeutic Interventional Oncology solutions for patients with cancer. Interested to learn more: Organization & Solutions
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- IO Medical Strategy
You translate and monitor the Global TIO medical strategy into a practical medical/clinical development program.
Additionally, you assess feasibility and budget needs for the execution. - IO Medical Development
You translate the medical strategy into a medical development program (including budget, timelines, vision, mission, scope) in collaboration with the TIO Medical Affairs Strategy Director – Radiation, the TIO Medical Affairs Manager in EMEA and TIS Medical Affairs Director in North America.
Furthermore, you drive the execution of the medical development program, and you lead the development activities in coordination with all relevant functions, e.g. Market Access, Clinical Operations…
You provide operational guidance to the Clinical Operations Teams and keeps high level oversight to ensure successful implementation and monitoring of both the IIS and the CSS program. - IO Medical Affairs Financial Management
You streamline the financial management to assure proper forecasting, budgeting and oversight.
Our strategy in mind, you prepare the Long-Range Plan and yearly budgets/forecasts for Global TIO Medical Affairs in close collaboration with the Senior Global TIO Medical Director. - IO Medical and Scientific Communication
Together with the Scientific Communication Specialist in your team, you contribute to the scientific communication of TIO activities, in collaboration with all relevant functions. You coordinate scientific intelligence collection and internal dissemination related to TIO technologies, oncology innovation / practice / guidelines.
You communicate the strategic and tactical plan to the Clinical Operations, Marketing and Market Access Teams.
In addition, you coordinate and continue to build the relationships with relevant medical and patients’ associations.
Furthermore, you report key study progress to all TIO business partners and medical teams. You develop a medical strategy dashboard that reports progresses and issues/risks to the management.
You coordinate the clinical data analysis, medical writing and publication strategy generated by the IIS/CSS programs.
You coordinate the preparation of the scientific narrative and the content for promotion materials, internal training and external scientific communication. - IO Strategic partnerships
You contribute to Medical Advisory Boards and support Regional strategic partnerships with Medical Societies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- You are an HCP or are a holder of a master’s degree with significant experience in the domain of oncology, in scientific or medical intelligence and clinical trial management.
- You have an overall work experience of at least 12 years within a multinational environment, in which you have built up a proven knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines.
- In addition, you have experience in the conduct of clinical trials, with a strong focus on financial management and a good understanding of the key stakeholders.
- You have an analytical and strategic mindset, can set priorities and you feel comfortable communicating on a regional and global level, developing strategic projects;
- You demonstrate strong management and people management skills.
