Finance Manager

Job description

For a well-known pharmaceutical company, we’re searching for a Finance Manager.           The company is a multinational company that aims to improve patients' quality of life by treating diseases and their symptoms with innovative products.

The company manufactures more than 200 drugs, and its products include original, generic and licensed products which provide effective, modern and reasonably priced treatments in almost every therapeutic area. The company focuses on developing and manufacturing central nervous system, cardiovascular and women's healthcare products.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management

  • Ensure efficient financial monitoring and Group reporting respecting the deadlines;
  • Prepare the Strategic and Annual Plan in consultation with the Managing Director and the different departments;
  • Develop and put into practice procedures for handling finance and accounting;
  • Keep track of accounts receivable/payable with the Customer Service Officer and the Office Manager;
  • Point of contact with the external bookkeeping company, the auditor, the tax authorities, and others;
  • Make sure tax obligations are timely fulfilled.

Human Resources Management

  • Support the Managing Director in relation to recruitment processes and human resources matters;
  • Develop and manage human resources procedures in line with the legal framework and the CP 200 regulations;
  • Support the Managing Director in relation to the Car policy and the legal regulations (Benefit in kind, CO2 and others)
  • Track progress of legal dossiers;
  • Supervise and control the monthly payroll process;
  • Supervise and manage the Group Insurance and Medical Insurance with the Office Manager;
  • Point of contact for the bi-annual appraisal of the employees, assuming the follow-up of the “Loonbonus” and “Warrants” procedures.

Office Management

  • Support the Managing Director in relation to recruitment processes and human resources matters;
  • Prepare the annual Board Meeting;
  • Handle contacts and office contracts with the Office Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University or Bachelor’s degree in Finance;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Finance and Business;
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical environment and its specific legislation are highly valued;
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel/Access/PowerPoint/Word and financial systems;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Dutch, English and French.
  • To succeed in this role, we expect you to be analytical, organised and structured with an eye for detail;
  • You have the ability to work independently and to take initiative;
  • You constantly plan, predict and solve upcoming problems to reach deadlines and you facilitate team working/collaboration to make sure thins get delivered on time;
  • You will be dealing with confidential and sensitive information, and it is important that you are able to handle this with integrity and responsibility.
